For most people that own or use a computer somewhere down the line, there will be problems with your computer. The machine will be attacked by one or more of the following adware, spyware, viruses, working software suddenly stops working, etc. Of course you should use software to prevent this from happening as much as possible. One day you will probably find yourself in a mess. Be sure to back up your important files on a daily bases so when it happens you are ready.

I just recently went through a trying time with two of my twelve computers. A virus had made its way onto one of my machines and began to cause problems. It was such a problem that the machine finally just quit on me. I could have easily spent thousands of dollars on computer repairs to have someone else fix it for me. But the reason I did need someone to help me is because I know how to do most repairs myself. The sad thing is that most people have no idea what to do. So this is why I have been writing article on the subject. I want to help you save your hard earned money.

Because of the cost of new computers these days it just does not make sense to spend thousands of dollars on a computer repair job if it breaks down. The rule I use is, don't spend more to fix it then you can buy a new one for. But do not throw away the broken computer; there could be a better solution later from learning some new things yourself.

If access to programs like MS Office and others like this you may have a hardware problem. Sometimes the data may be so corrupted that you will have to contact a computer expert to solve the problem. This may not be a cost effective way to handle this problem. The reason is that your data may not be worth the time and money to have a computer expert help with it. Only you know the value of what is in your machine, and how much you are willing to pay an expert.

Provided you can still access your data, try the following process:
Start with backing up all the saved data files from programs like MS Office and others like this. You must locate the original program discs because you are going to reload your programs, and restore the backed up data. Now using your original window CD reinstall your windows program. You do not need to worry about a thing, all the instruction will be on the screen. First, put the CD in the CD drive and wait for the screen to show you the windows install program. Now follow the steps and answer the questions.

This process will wipe your computer clean, just like it was when you first turned it on. Go online and search for AVG anti virus program and load the FREE version. You will also want to search for Malware and install the free version. Now you can reinstall the programs you have CD's for, and don't forget to reinstall the data you backed up. Your computer will run like it did when you first bought it. I must warn you though! You will lose everything on your computer when you reinstall Windows, and any programs that you do not have CD's for.
