Am I entitled to share some tips about how to speed up a computer? I think I do, for I have been working in my company as a network administrator for two years and giving tips to my colleagues to help them successfully speed up computers dozens of times.

Tips that are already commonly known helpful to speed up a slow computer are not what I want to share here, but two exclusive tips!

<1>Reset transfer mode to DMA

I was having lunch with a colleague one day, he asked me if I could give him some tips to speed up his computer, I felt weird, because I had been monitoring our network all the time, there was no sign of virus infection, why would he ask me for tips to speed up his computer? Later on, he was a little embarrassed and told me, the other day he brought his young daughter to his office, and had to leave her alone for just two minutes to go to men's room, just during that two minutes, his young daughter had messed his computer, some of the files were completely ruined, and the computer ran slow ever since. My computer->Right click->Properties->Hardware->Click Device Manager->Double click IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller->Double click Primary IDE Channel->Click Advanced Settings tag, then change transfer mod to DMA if available, press Enter to save changes, then go to Secondary IDE channel to change transfer mod to DMA if available too! Go check now if this is a useful tips that are really able to speed up your slow computer!

<2> Cancel virtual memory or Use Ram to simulate hard drive

If you are using over 8GB Ram with Win7 64 bit, The good tips is that turning off the virtual memory will remarkably speed up your computer when playing games, or try to use a software to simulate Ram into hard drive to trick some games like Titan quest to gain better performance. This tips is also considered useful by gamers to speed up their computer performance.

But you know what? These two are extremely rare cases, normally as I mentioned in the passage, in our company there is one tips that is our favourite for it is easy to use to effectively speed up slow computer, the tips is using the PC tweak tool, people don't usually find it remarkable after they have tried to use it,then treasure it as the most powerful tips and use it on a daily basis to speed up their computer!
